Ballet Nacional de Cuba to tour Spain, Italy and France

Havana, April 7 (Prensa Latina) The National Ballet of Cuba (BNC) will embark on a tour of Spain, Italy and France from April 30th, announced today the direction of the company directed by the legendary artist Alicia Alonso.

The journey through these countries will keep the group away from their native soil for three months, will allow you to return to scenarios where the European public has already seen them and meet new ones such as the Pleyel room in Paris.

According to press conference told the director of the Museum of Dance, Pedro Simón, the BNC will tour several Spanish cities such as Madrid, Andalusia, Barcelona and the Basque Country, among several, while in Italy they would perform in Turin and Ravenna.

Throughout the tour, the company plans to present their versions of the classic The Nutcracker, Giselle and Don Quixote, with which it has won praise in numerous countries.

The BNC and Alonso won the Grand Prix de la Ville in Paris in 1966 for the performance of Giselle at the IV International Dance Festival, held at the Theater of the Champs Elysees.

Simon commented on the interest in France to see the company dance a varied program of pas de deux that offer a panoramic of the styles danzarios, so in addition to Giselle and Don Quixote the main figures will star in a gala.

The leaders of this tour will be Viengsay Valdés, Sadaise Arencibia, Anette Delgado, Grettel Morejón, Dani Hernández, Rafael Quenedit, Patricio Revé, Raúl Abreu, Ginett Moncho, Claudia García and Ariel Martínez, accompanied by soloists and the company's dance corps .
