CIAO ITALY!

CIAO ITALY!

Visiting Italy is one of the most memorable experiences of any age. Bustling streets, chic boutiques, thirsty quenching drinks, historical architecture, luxury boutique hotels, Italy has it all. One of the busiest times of the year to travel to Italy is the Month of July. Travellers from all over the world make their way to Rome or Venice where they typically start their journey. Exploring the sights and sounds of the Italian culture, experiencing food and beverages of Italy’s famous regions and indulging in gelatos and Italian mouth -watering pastries.

When travelling to Italy you will want to exchange your money before you travel or you can change your money at any local currency exchange kiosk. Should you choose a local ATM, bank or currency kiosk you will be charged a service fee. The currency in Italy is the Euro. Although Italian merchants won't mind breaking 50 or even 100 Euros bills, it is best to travel with smaller denominations. You will find having change readily available is handy especially for those instances where you may need to pay to use a public toilette.

Keep a money belt on you at all times, tucked away from sight. Excess money, travel documents, and passports can be safely stored your hotel safe. If the hotel charges a daily or weekly fee to use their safe, take advantage and make that purchase. Many hotels offer a rebate at the end of your stay. You never want to leave money, important travel documents and passports lying around. And definitely, don't keep them on you while enjoying your daily adventures.

If travelling with credit cards no problem. All major credit cards are accepted in Italy. Before leaving home, check –in with your credit card company to inform them of your travel and to make sure that your credit card suitable for your journey. If you don't check-in with your credit card company prior to departure and attempt to use your card abroad, you may notice that your credit card company may block your purchases. This practice is to protect you. It is fairly simple to have your credit card unblocked, however, it is inconvenient and time-consuming to make that call. Especially when all you want to do is explore beautiful Italy!
